Persimmon song

Fall/winter 2025

This season, the persimmon “감” serves as my muse. Its soft curves and rounded forms reflect a quiet grace, evolving from flower to fruit. The persimmon’s journey—enduring cold winters to emerge sweeter—mirrors life’s profound truth:

hard-fought beauty holds the deepest meaning.

Rooted in Korean cultural sentiment, the collection also draws from the traditional Bottari “보따리", a simple yet symbolic wrapping cloth. Its blend of practicality and emotional depth resonates with my own creative approach. This connection inspired my “PUZZLE” technique: starting with a square, I cut and reassemble fragments into unexpected three-dimensional forms. This process, born of spontaneity and intent, re-contextualizes familiar elements into something entirely new.

The collection begins with the shape—a design element that has always captivated me. Fluid silhouettes are juxtaposed with structured elements, fragility meets strength, and an underlying sense of resilience and transformation. Through your lens, I hope to preserve the fleeting beauty of these inspirations, translating them into timeless, evocative visuals.

The collection captures the interplay of order and freedom, constraint and chance. It’s an exploration of originality—where moments of unpredictability and intention collide to create designs that feel both personal and universal.
